That’s how many we’ve seen. The first had at least one egg and she sat on it for quite a while. One morning, we saw her very distressed but don’t know what happened. She abandoned the first nest and built a second we never saw her sit in. Then, she used parts of the first nest to build this third nest. She sat on it for several weeks but we never saw her feeding or caring for any babies. She just disappeared. It’s rough out there. She worked so hard. A hummer successfully raised two babies in this same tree and same first nest last year.
