2024 | fabric, thread, acrylic paint, wood, and canvas | Twelve pieces, each 12” x 12”

These pieces were inspired by purple coneflower, sensitive fern, dogwood blossom, blue false indigo, black walnut, turkey tail fungus, and wild blue phlox. Each work is machine-quilted, hand-embroidered, and mounted to canvas. Four of the pieces cradle little cedar houses among their leaves or petals. This series was created for installation at Ascension St.Vincent Women & Infants Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
